Multi-Table Tournaments at UltimateBet
Multi-table tournaments are exactly what they sound like... tournaments that
need more than one table to accommodate every player who registers. These
tournaments are scheduled in advance and players can register for them up to the
tournament's start time. Their buy-ins are listed in terms of the amount that
goes towards the prize pool, and the amount that the house keeps. For instance,
if a tournament costs $1+0, $1 will go towards to prize pool and the house will
keep $0. If the tournament costs $100+9 though, $100 will go towards the prize
pool and the house will keep $9 from each entry.
Registering for a Multi-Table Tournament
Once you download UltimateBet software and set up a complete account, you will be able to register for UltimateBet's multi-table tournaments. UltimateBet upcoming tournaments are listed under the "Scheduled Tournaments" tab, which you can see once you click on the "Play Poker/Go to Games" button in the game. Choose Real Money, UltimatePoints™, or Free Games, and click on the "Scheduled Tournaments" tab. You can choose to view only those tournaments in specific categories by clicking on the appropriate tab (Aruba/World Poker Tour, Special Events, Freerolls, In Progress, Regular, Direct Entry Satellites, and Entry Chip Satellites). Alternately, you can scroll through the entire list of tournaments by clicking on the "All" tab. Scroll through the list of events until you find the one you want. Simply click on the event to read more about it and register. To register for real money and UltimatePoint™ buy-in events, you will need to have the correct amount of money and/or UltimatePoints™ in your account at the time you register.
Once you have successfully registered for an event, you will be sent a confirmation email to the email address on file with your poker account. To play in a tournament that you registered for, simply log in to the game prior to your tournament's start time on the appropriate day. Once the tournament is up and your table is ready, UltimateBet software will automatically take you to your table. You will find all tournament tables located under the "Scheduled Tournaments" tab of the game manager. As players bust out of the event, players will be moved and tables will be consolidated, until only one table remains.

Multi-Table Tournament Rules
- Registration for multi-table tournaments is open until the tournament's posted start time
- Once registered for an event, the buy-in is non-refundable.
- Unless noted for a specific promotion, all players will begin with the same chip amount.
- Players are seated at random. Seat changes are not allowed.
- In multi-table tournaments, the button is randomly assigned to a player at the table.
- UltimateBet.com does not sanction, facillate, or enforce deals. If you make a deal you are doing so at your own risk and deal making is not allowed in the chat box at the table. Prize pools are awarded according to the prize pool payout listed within the tournament information page for that event. Deals are not enforced by the cardroom.
- Tournaments are played until one player has all the chips
- Players who do not show up for their event will either be eliminated from the event, or will be blinded off until they arrive. Players are given 10 minutes to arrive before they are eliminated from the event.
- During the tournament, information about when the next break will occur will be displayed in the lower-left.
- As a tournament progresses the tournament software will combine tables and try to maintain an equal number of players at all the remaining tables. Players will see a note in the lower left of the table telling them that tables are being consolidated.
- If a player needs to be moved to maintain balance, the tournament software will choose the player due to pay the big blind at one of the tables with the most remaining players, and move that player to one of the tables with the least remaining number of players. The player who is moved will be seated at the new table as far away from the big blind as possible given the available seats. This advantage is meant to equalize the disadvantage of being moved to a table where the player is less familiar with their opponents.
- In limit tournaments bets are limited to 4 during each betting round, the initial bet plus 3 raises. This is true regardless of the number of players remaining in the tournament.
- In no-limit and pot-limit tournaments there is no restriction on the number of raises allowed during a betting round.
- If there is a split pot, not equally divisible by the number of players in the hand, the 'extra' chips will be awarded to the player closest to the left of the button.
- In tournaments when two players get eliminated in the same hand, the person who started the hand with the most chips gets the higher finish and awarded the corresponding prize pool for that placement
- Players moved to a new table will not be able to play until the button passes them. UltimateBet.com uses the dead button feature to ensure that all players take the big blind in their turn. As such, it is possible that a player will receive the button for more than one hand. It is also possible that a big blind is posted in a hand but no small blind, if the person who was to receive the small blind was eliminated from the tournament in the previous hand.
- When two players remain in the tournament, the player due to receive the big blind will do so and the player in the small blind position will inherit the button.
- Hand-by-hand dealing may be enacted during any tournament. This means that the tournament software will wait until a hand is played at all remaining tables, before dealing the next hand. This discourages the practice of slow playing.
- Players who have an active internet connection and fail to act during their turn will be folded
- Players who lose connection during an event will be blinded off until such a time they can rejoin their tournament
- Please note that the card room no longer provides protected all-ins (protection of your bet when you get disconnected) in tournaments.
If your computer disconnects in the middle of a hand, your hand will be folded unless you return to the hand before your time to act expires.
- During game play, players are prohibited from chatting about the play of their and/or their opponents' hands until all actions for that hand are complete. Such chat could result in disqualification or other penalties.
- Tournament registration must meet the minimum requirement for that event or the tournament will not run. In this event, all buy-ins and fees will be returned to the players' accounts
- In the event a tournament is cancelled due to technical difficulties at UltimateBet.com, players who were already eliminated from the event will lose their buy-in and fees. The remaining players in the event will be paid the prize money based on their chip stacks and standings in the tournament at the time the tournament stops running.
- Soft playing or chip dumping is not allowed. Players involved in these or other unethical activities may be eliminated from a tournament and/or have their accounts terminated.
- Tournament players must adhere to the rules outlined in UltimateBet's User Agreement
- UltimateBet.com reserves the right to disqualify any player who does not follow tournament guidelines or acts inappropriately during a tournament.
- UltimateBet.com reserves the right to change any tournament time, guaranteed prize pool, or event without notice.
- reserves the right to alter the rules and make final decisions on all tournament related issues as they arise, and at our sole discretion
- In case of disputes decisions made by UltimateBet.com are final.
